Yes.  I use a Cyclades card to do serial on MacPPC.  It's the only way
I've found.  Built-in serial only works if you don't push it very hard.
ppp is "too hard".

P.S.  The stock Cyclades is busted too.  If anyone is interested, I can
provide the patches I've been running.
