The -current INSTALL kernel doesn't work unless I plug in a USB 
keybaord.  OTOH the actual GENERIC kernel works just fine thank you.

I also note that the screen font is substantially different between 
the two.  The INSTALL kernel uses a much smaller, less bold size.
