Ok - so recent GENERIC -current kernels are larger than 5 megs. So where
does one get a newer ofwboot.xcf to bootstrap current? What then are the
Open Firmware settings?

Yes, the fact that releng's last snapshot was more than a month ago isn't
very helpful...
