Beg, borrow or steal a MacOS X installation CD ( you only need CD
1 ), try to boot it on the G3. It will fail eventually, complain that
this machine is unsupported and such, but it will do that /after/
installing firmware patches which allow you to boot NetBSD. I know
this works with MacOS X 10.3 and earlier, no idea about 10.4 or later
but I suspect it will work.
Also, beige G3s are notoriously picky about IDE cables, in doubt
check them and eventually change them if things don't work right.
