Issues installing on a PowerMac Quicksilver DP800

Hello, I'm trying to install NetBSD 4.0 on this machine and am having  
quiet a lot of problems. For a little background, this machine runs  
OSX just fine. It also booted another G4's NetBSD 3.1 install (single  
user). I get passed the OF quiet easily and boot on the install CD.  
Somewhere along the installation process, never later than ~50% of  
copying of the base set the machine hard-locks. It's pretty random, it  
locked in menus, during editing in disklabel, during newfs and  
copying. So far I've tried: 1) swapping the hard disk 2) swapping the  
ATA controller 3) removing all extra ram 4) swapping the remaining  
stick 5) swapping the video card. All to no avail, the behaviour is  
unchanged. I'm really running out of ideas :/
