Actually it works exactly the same way on all PCI PowerMacs up to the
beige G3 - we simply ask CUDA to turn the machine off. Newer machines
have a PMU ( just like the powerbooks. Same thing but different
protocol as CUDA ) which, again, is just nicely asked to turn off power.
The 7300 is a bog standard bandit/Grand Central/CUDA PCI Mac as far as
NetBSD is concerned, the only thing that needs special treatment is
the 601 CPU.
