NetBSD 5 upgrade & SCSI issues
Hi,
I just upgraded a PowerMac 9600 with an ATTO UL2D SCSI card, an Acard
SCSI-SATA adapter, and a hardware mirroring SATA enclosure from NetBSD 4
to NetBSD 5, and I'm now seeing SCSI issues I didn't see with NetBSD 4.
The machine runs, and appears to be fine, but it's not reassuring to see
these:
sd0(esiop1:0:0:0): Check Condition on CDB: 0x35 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
SENSE KEY: Media Error
ASC/ASCQ: Data Synchronization Mark Error
sd0(esiop1:0:0:0): Check Condition on CDB: 0x35 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
SENSE KEY: Media Error
ASC/ASCQ: Data Synchronization Mark Error
(lots and lots of these)
Here's the SCSI stuff from dmesg:
esiop0 at pci0 dev 13 function 0: Symbios Logic 53c896 (ultra2-wide scsi)
esiop0: using on-board RAM
esiop0: interrupting at irq 23
scsibus0 at esiop0: 16 targets, 8 luns per target
esiop1 at pci0 dev 13 function 1: Symbios Logic 53c896 (ultra2-wide scsi)
esiop1: using on-board RAM
esiop1: interrupting at irq 23
scsibus1 at esiop1: 16 targets, 8 luns per target
...
sd0 at scsibus1 target 0 lun 0: <ATA, InneRAID D Duo, 1.04> disk fixed
sd0: 931 GB, 484505 cyl, 64 head, 63 sec, 512 bytes/sect x 1953525168 sectors
sd0: sync (25.00ns offset 14), 16-bit (80.000MB/s) transfers, tagged queueing
Has anything changed that anyone knows about which could account for this?
Thanks,
John Klos
