Re: mac mini G5 freezing after X11 ends
Hi Marco,
unfortunately, it didn't change anything.
Xorg.0.log shows the option to be recognized:
(II) Setting vga for screen 0.
(II) RADEON(0): MMIO registers at 0x0000000090000000: size 64KB
(WW) xf86EnableIO 5
(II) RADEON(0): PCI bus 0 card 0 func 0
(**) RADEON(0): Depth 24, (--) framebuffer bpp 32
(II) RADEON(0): Pixel depth = 24 bits stored in 4 bytes (32 bpp pixmaps)
(==) RADEON(0): Default visual is TrueColor
(**) RADEON(0): Option "MacModel" "mini"
(II) RADEON(0): VGAAccess option set to FALSE, VGA module load skipped
But still: when stopping the X server, these are the last lines
printed to the terminal where "startx" was issued and afterwards the
machine is "dead" (as described: no network, no kernel logs, Xorg.
0.log is not touched anymore, .. )
waiting for X server to shut down xterm: fatal IO error 32 (Broken
pipe) or KillClient on X server ":0.0"
xterm: fatal IO error 32 (Broken pipe) or KillClient on X server ":0.0"
X connection to :0.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown).
finished PLL2
finished PLL1

Maybe anyone out there with a Mac mini wants to share his/her
xorg.conf with me?
Cheers,
Torsten
