I've tried this, but something incredibly funky happens to the screen (it's
like black water is filtering into the grayish framebuffer) and then I can't
get back to the console.

I'm not sure if this is because of my OFW boot-command from here [1] or not:
    setenv boot-command ." hello" cr " screen" output boot


Without that command however, the machine never seems to drop into the console
on boot :(
