Just for the record: I have a dual G4 silver tower and it still wedges
quickly with -current, even after Chuck's mutex fixes.

It hangs hard, so I never was able to get any usefull diagnostis out of it.
Happens both with UP and MULTIPROCESSOR kernels. If MacOS wouldn't run
on it just fine, I'd call it broke hardware...
