Hello, I just tried to update a few macppc machines and found that every one of them crashes early during kernel startup, before the copyright is printed. Rolling back dev/rasops/ to july 1st allowed them to boot. I didn't have time to investigate further but, as a data point, macppc early console uses 8bit colour and a bitmap font, scribbling into a firmware-provided framebuffer. have fun Michael
