Hi,

I've tried with the latest snapshot from today. 

I still get the "bwi0: device timeout" and get nothing after a "ifconfig bwi0 list scan"

I also tried with my usb dongle and results are the same. Which mean nothing relevant in the logs but I stll get nothing from  "ifconfig bwi0 list scan".

Can you try using a daily build from HEAD and report back.
