So it's probably this _M_start_thread:

  external/gpl3/gcc/dist/libstdc++-v3/src/c++11/thread.cc:145

probably in __gthread_active_p:

  external/gpl3/gcc/dist/libgcc/gthr-posix.h:183

cc1 is not linked against -lpthread so something goes bad with libc
stubs?
