Can you boot again from the install CD, drop to a shell and then
try something like:

  pdisk -l /dev/rwd0c

?

I am very confused about the installation procedure on macppc, and not sure
if it creates an apple partition map at all currently (and I never got
booting w/o it working - Michael's suggestion assumes there is such a map
and it has a valid HFS partition to boot from, the command above would help
verify that).

Hi Martin,

Here is the result of the command:

# pdisk -l /dev/rwd0c

Partition map (with 512 byte blocks) on '/dev/rwd0c'
 #:        type             name         length    base    (size)
 1: Apple_partition_map      Apple              2  @  1
 2: NetBSD/macppc          NetBSD  2147483647 @   4    (1024.0G)

Device_block size=512, Number of Blocks=156301488 (74.5G)
DeviceType=0x0, DeviceId=0x0

It appears the Apple partition map is quite small.

Mark
