No, not exactly.  Did you set it up without NPF at all, just to be sure the problem is with cnmac and not the filtering?

At one point, I thought I had cnmac driver or hardware problems, too.  One of my tests was from the UBoot console.  Can you ping, DHCP, etc. from UBoot?

I'm assuming the rest of the kernel and userland are fine.
