BusBlaster V3c for MIPS?

Hi all
I have to resurrect the firmware of an old MIPS32R2 Atlas board, and I
wonder if the BusBlaster V3c for MIPS(1) good enough(2)?

Pros
- cheap, ~50 euro
- supported by OpenSource
- can be used with gdb

Cons
- no more in production by SeeedStudio
- can't see examples/tutorials ... I don't know the real status of usage
- you have to find and buy one on eBay/China, or Aliexpress/China
