How to netboot the mvmeppc kernel?

How does one netboot the NetBSD mvmeppc kernel?


I have an MVME1603-001.
I have been able to netboot the image here 
    http://www.garbled.net/tmp/prep-residual-boot.fs
which is mentioned in this message:
    https://mail-index.netbsd.org/port-mvmeppc/2006/07/13/0000.html
but after printing some debugging information, it ends up
in the kernel debugger.  (See first boot log below.)

So far, my attempts to netboot the 9.1 mvmeppc kernel have just led to 
illegal instruction traps.   (See second boot log below.)   Perhaps I need to adjust the
load offset?

There's no documentation in 
    http://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/NetBSD-9.1/mvmeppc/
and no files in 
    http://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/NetBSD-9.1/mvmeppc/installation/
so I'm unsure what I should be trying.
