NetBSD/news68k has now switched to using ELF
for its default object file format.
An ELF snapshot including X sets is available in:

ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/arch/news68k/snapshot/20010311/

Upgrade instructions to ELF is also available:

ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/arch/news68k/elf-upgrade/README.ELF-UPGRADE

It is almost the same step with other m68k ports
which has already been switched to ELF, but
on news68k old bootloader has been able to load
ELF kernels so instructions should be a bit simpler.
