If stdin/stdout is both failsafe/serial what are you looking at the keyboard
and display types for anyway?

"bootconsole" is a new one on me, I have always seen it marked with
device type "serial", and there has NEVER been a device in my device
tree *CALLED* bootconsole.. this is really weird to me indeed.

Is NetBSD modifying the tree at some point (ofwboot?) or do you see
these with 'ls' on the prompt?
