I can confirm the problems with the console.  Curiously an old vt52
works ok, but a pc running telix behaves as already described.
I don't know why either.  I also fiddled in the way already described
until it worked as well as possible.
(But does the junk during booting really matter as long as you can
log in ok when the boot has finished?)
One problem I have noticed is the ttyflags program.  When called
during the boot sequence it hangs the system completely.
Or rather the boot seems to continue but all terminals are hung.
It behaves itself when the system is up and running.
My version is however not the latest.  I intend to sup the latest
source this week end and try again.
