By the way, just to clarify, all you need to get gcc in -current working
again is libc.so.12.17 compiled from a source taken from the master
CVS tree after about 11pm PDT last night.  Again, I put a working copy of
libc.so.12.17 on ftp://doe.ldc.cs.wwu.edu/pub/phil for your convience.
