Looking at the source code, I wouldn't expect the bootblocks that you
were working with to boot on *anything* but a 3100.   I think they
boot on the 5000/200 because of some historical compatibility code,
but they're worthless on anything else, at least as far as I could
tell.   I have boot blocks that should come up on a 5k/240; I can mail
them to you if you'd like.
