The 5k/25 was actually called the PCmax before it got called the pmax,
and it uses a fairly standard SVGA 1024x768 frame buffer format.
You're right, though - it does require sync-on-green.   I'm pretty
sure any Sony multisync will work (I know mine does), but I don't know
much about other monitors...
