I've built a pmax box running apache 1.2 and we are deploying it as a proxy
HTTP server.  What tunables, if any, are there to make sure the system has
plenty of kernel and network resources to handle the load?

We've already cranked up NKMEMCLUSTERS and BUFPAGES.  I know in Ultrix
the most significant tunable is somaxconn.
