Well, ummm, errr, ahhhh - ya see, I do *have* a swap partition.  But I sorta
lost the entry in fstab somehow.  It was on my *old* system disk, honest!

Works lots better now.

I think somebody replaced my little yellow Nuprin tablets with stupid pills;
