I'm running NetBSD 1.3.1; my ld.so is dated March 6:
  # cksum /usr/libexec/ld.so
  642950097 33988 /usr/libexec/ld.so

Perl 5.004_04 is failing the rename test.  I was under the impression that
the new ld.so fixed this problem.  Any idea what I could be doing wrong?
