connect a serial cable to the DB-25 Male connector labeled "3".  Then I
think its 9600 8-N-1.  You'll probably need a null modem cable or adapter.

if you're not hooking up any scsi devices, just powering on the box to see
if it shows basic signs of life, I wouldn't think so.
