My machine stayed up all day, so now I am able to try the above xserver.
e2# cd /usr/X11R6/bin
e2# ./netbsd-20020802
./netbsd-20020802: Exec format error. Wrong Architecture.
e2# ./XdecNetBSD-20020802
Fatal server error:
no screens found
The second one looks better. Still, which one is right for the 3max?
e2# file netbsd-20020802 XdecNetBSD-20020802
netbsd-20020802: ELF 32-bit LSB MIPS-I executable, MIPS, version 1
MathCoPro/FPU/MAU Required (SYSV), statically linked, not stripped
XdecNetBSD-20020802: ELF 32-bit LSB MIPS-I executable, MIPS, version 1
(SYSV), for NetBSD, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), not stripped
So one is static, the other dynamic. Also, one says "MathCoPro/FPU/MAU
Required".
I assume XdecNetBSD is the one for me.
I did not find any log for the above (second) failure.
My /dev has:
e2# cd /dev
e2# ls -ltr | tail
