The above change causes problems for me when building a custom pmax kernel:
depending the compat library objects
create compat/compat_exec.d
In file included from ../../../../../../sys/exec.h:280,
from ../../../../../../compat/common/compat_exec.c:44:
../../../../../../sys/exec_aout.h:187:34: error:
machine/aout_machdep.h: No such file or directory
mkdep: compile failed.

Its not obvious to me whether we need a stub aout_machdep.h or whether
the compilation of compat_exec.c should be conditional.
