Once I get up and running, I would be willing to look into
it also, though the only thing I have going for me is a
solid understanding of C.  My Unix and kernel knowledge is
limited to that of a user:)

So are you saying that before I follow step 2 of "7248
Install success!", I need to copy the generic.fs to the
raw disk, raw without any type of partition.  Yes?  How
does one do that?
