You are out of luck. port-prep needs residual data. If it can't find it:
	panic("No residual data.");
This is called before the console is initialized so you can't see the
message.

What kind of PowerStack is this? There are several models from VME bus
based to the later PowerStack I and PowerStack II PCI machines.
