OFW can load ELF images. Usually you want to use the ofppc boot loader.
You can boot the kernel directely, but you will loose the symbol table
that way. (The symbol table is very usefull for ddb(4).) Just say "boot
net" to the OFW. It will do the usual bootp/DHCP dance and load the
bootloader via tftp. The bootloader in turn does again bootp/DHCP,
NFS-mounts / and loads the kernel via NFS.
