per a former sgi engineer: the 33c95 is really, really difficult to
drive (it requires microcode, etc) and it's surrounded by weird glue
logic that is even more difficult. to quote:

"it would be practically impossible to write a driver from scratch."

so, there goes my dream of wide scsi ;)
