Hello,
Here's another set of driver images:
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/misc/macallan/sgimips/libxaa.so
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/misc/macallan/sgimips/crime_drv.so
... and a config file:
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/misc/macallan/sgimips/XF86Config
Changes:
- tiled window backgrounds are now drawn properly, with this xfwm and
windowmaker work right
- drawing points was the only operation I've found so far that XAA
always defers to fb - implemented my own to avoid direct framebuffer
accesses
- cpu-to-screen and screen-to-screen composite ops are now done in
hardware
-> no more garbage in VRAM here ( only tested xfce and windowmaker
though )
known problems:
- some composite ops aren't done at all, which makes xfce icons
appear and disappear
- some composite ops aren't done right, gtk-demo's multitext demo
shows wrong colours in two spots
- hardware clipping still isn't implemented
- the driver still uses the ioctl() interface for hardware cursor
support instead of doing it directly
- very rarely a few things are drawn at the wrong position
have fun
Michael
