Hello,

Yes, crime_drv.so works, with some bugs. (for example using gimp's screenshot function caused whole X to freeze).

I just committed what's needed to run crime_drv with native Xorg. Most of the glitches are gone but screenshots won't work since image reads aren't implemented yet.

I want to help you with this driver, but probably i need more recent kernel and (native) Xorg first?

5.0 is close enough but you will need the latest X sources. crime_drv and libxaa from -current should Just Work on 5.0.

Compiling this will take some time even on my x86 box ....

My dual 500MHz G4 manages to build sgimips with X overnight, whatever x86 you have should be faster.

And for some reason i still don't have internet access under NetBSD. I can netboot, of course, /etc/hosts was edited with correct hostname (before all X programs were very slow at startup),

Probably doing DNS requests.

i have correct IP address (192.168.1.3), resolv.conf with one entry "nameserver 192.168.1.1" and default route to 192.168.1.1 (my router). But i can't ping neither router, nor outside network.

anything funny in nsswitch.conf? That sounds rather weird.
Is your network interface configured properly? Otherwise you should at lease be able to ping the router.

have fun
Michael
