In an experiment to see if it would work and get a feel for NetBSD,
I've put it on a Sun IPC, with 4MB RAM, ~200MB HD. Presently using
NetBSD-current, I've yet to try the SunOS compat. stuff yet, but
otherwise, seems to be ok (if slow).
real mem = 3670016
avail mem = 2465792
About 100k more than SunOS4.1 makes available, where's the 3670016 come
from ? Sun reports "mem = 4096K (...)" when booting...then avail mem
as something about the same as above.
Device 1024-blocks Used Avail Capacity Type
/dev/sd0b 32560 2340 30220 7% Interleaved
Networking is fine, NFS works (with -P in fstab :/)...someone might
like to put the floppy drive in the standard kernel, nearly all the
recent sparcs have had these:
fd at mainbus0 ioaddr 0xf7200000 not configured
Hmm...will it work if I pull out two of the four SIMMs ? O:-)
cheers,
Darren
