Hi all!
I was finally able to overcome my tftpd problems (tftpd on my
version of Linux just didn't want to work so I hacked my own version from
the source which seems to do the trick) and get farther into the boot
process. I am running a 4/110 and want to run NetBSD from my Linux box
until I get my hard drives. Here's the output I get during the boot
process:
>b ie()netbsd -s
Boot: ie(0,0,0)netbsd -s
Using IP Address 130.115.144.11 = 8273900B
Booting from tftp server at 192.168.0.1 = C0A80001
Downloaded 29264 bytes from tftp server.
>> NetBSD BOOT [$Revision: 1.4 $]
Using IP Address 130.115.144.11 = 8273900B
boot: client IP address: 130.115.144.11
boot: client name: neptune
Can't open network device ie(0,0,0)'
open: netbsd: Unknown error: code 72
device[ie(0,0,0)]:
Can anybody explain what the problem is now? I find it strange
that the Sun cannot open the network device ie(0,0,0) when it just loaded
NetBSD BOOT using the same interface. Any assistance would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Mike.
