There's a new NetBSD/sparc-sun4m kernel available at
ftp://rioja.eecs.harvard.edu/pub/NetBSD-Sun4M/netbsd_sun4m.tar.gz

This kernel should fix the problem of not being able to find the 
interrupt and timer device nodes on certain machines; let me know if it 
does not.
