   thanks for you bug report!    i looked over the fixes you sent in
and put them on my sparc (4/300) with xd and they seem to work without
a problem.   the malloc returning NULL problem was a simple goof on my
part which i never ran into in normal operation.   

   on the other hand, the xdc_csr problem could explain a couple of
problems I was having with "lost IOPBs" (basically, I was ACKing IOPBs
without realizing it because I was using "|="...  oops!).   I suspect
this would only bite you under a heavier disk I/O load.   [see "hmm..."
comment in xdc_remove_iorq().]

   i'm going to update the the master source tree with the fixes
(i believe they also apply to xy.c) and close out the PR.   let me
know if you have any problems with it (and thanks for the help!!).
