Hi everyone,

Found the latest binary snapshot on ftp.netbsd.org today, and decided to
give it a try, as I realy want my Sparc to run NetBSD (iso SunOS 4.1.1)

Alas, this particular ELC (4/25) still will not work right on SCSI, although
diskless NetBSD runs just fine with it.

Does this mean that my ELC (for the time being) simply can't run from the
SCSI? Is there anything I can do except send you this logfile to help
trace the problem?

The disk is a maxtor 380MB SCSI not very new, but I've had similar probs.
with other disks. In *exactly* the same hardware-configuration this
Sparc runs SunOS 4.1.1 and this is not a cabling/termination-problem, I'd
say.

Here's what the kernel had to say about this:
(btw this is with the SunOS disklabel and bootloader)

et cetera, et cetera, would probably have gone on for ever.

Hope this helps... Paul.
