Ok, so for those who've been losing trying to build the C library
(namely, mcount.so), I'm pretty sure this is related to a recent change
that happened to the compiler. The only difference between the compiler
output from a working one and a broken one is that the broken one has this:
*** mcount.s.ok Sat Apr 6 15:22:54 1996
--- mcount.s Sat Apr 6 15:19:08 1996
***************
*** 8,13 ****
--- 8,14 ----
.ascii "$NetBSD: mcount.c,v 1.3 1995/02/27 12:54:42 cgd Exp $\0"
.text
.align 4
+ .global __mcount
.type __mcount,@function
.proc 020
__mcount:
I'm looking into it, but I'm not a compiler expert, so if anyone else has
ideas, please share them :-)
