Hi all,
I have been trying to install NetBSD-Sparc over my LAN and I
can't get the machine to boot. I have followed all the directions in
the documentation but I still can't get it to work. The boot server
is a 486 running FreeBSD and the client is a Sparcstation SLC. Here
is an excerpt of what happens when it tries to boot:
ok boot le()netbsd
Probing Memory Bank# 1 2 3 4 5
Scrub Memory and Set Mappings
Booting from: le(0,0,0)netbsd
b200 >> NetBSD BOOT [$Revision: 1.4 $]
boot: client IP Address: 168.26.193.72
boot: client name: athena
root addr=168.26.193.19 path=/usr/export/root/athena
Can't open network device `le(0,0,0)'
open: netbsd: Unknown error: code -1
device[le(0,0,0)]:
Everything seems to go ok until the "Can't open network device"
error. I have no idea what is going on, can somebody please help?
Thanks in advance,
C.P.
