I've worked around both of these problems, but I thought you should know...

The provided miniroot won't boot on a Sun-4/260, presumable the boot block
has an a.out header.

The provided tar files aren't correctly interpreted by the SunOS 4.1.1 or
4.1.3 tar programs; they interpret directories as regular files.
