In regards to my last message, I've tracked down the apparently problem with
libposix.so.0.1 causing seg faults to the fact that its procedure linkage
table is EMPTY!  Not good for a shared object, hence why ld.elf_so chokes
on it.  Why was it created this way?  I'm looking into that as we speak...
