Well, I will take a little time either today or tomorrow and give everyone
a detailed explanation of what I had to do to install NetBSD on my SS4 so
if you continue to have problems you might be able to see where the
problem was. I can report however that I did get NetBSD installed on 2
machines (SS4 and a Sparc Classic) over the network without any real
issues (once I figgured out how to use that silly disklabel utility). The
RARP, TFTP, bootparamd, and NFS setups worked flawlessly and I have the
machines booting off of the network in under 20m, from there it was just a
simple matter of learning how to use the disklabel program (if they have a
new release of NetBSD they really need to work on disklabel. Perhaps
using the disklabel editor that FreeBSD has would be a great place to
start, as even the interactive disklabel editor leaves a lot to be
desired). After the disk labeling was done it was a matter of adding the
. directory to your path and running install.sh, couldn't have been
easier!

PS- Tip for the wise: create a /kern directory on your NFS root before you
boot your machine as it appears that NetBSD can't detect your HD devices
if /kern dosen't exsist.
