Well, my experience is from a 1.3.2 kernel, so YMMV - but, the powerup did
give the machine a good goose. Compile time went down slightly, it seemed
more peppy, but definitely not a _huge_ jawdropping experience. I never
really ran any numbers - the feel of the machine was better, so I was
happy. Sorry - I don't know if any of that is of much help, but it's the
only $0.02 I have to offer :-)
