This loaner JS-1 I have here _also_ exhibits the "keyboard not present,
switching to serial" behavior observed by others.

AltaVista turned up a reasonable Linux FAQ site with JavaStation info.
Apparently some university was using them as computer lab Xterms, so
clearly some of them work...

I note that the box contained a xerox 'readme' paper which was dated 1997,
and it indicates that the unit I have was an early-access model seeded to
developers before the official release. Hmm.
