Buh?!?
Is that because there's some sparc64-dependent stuff hanging out
in the libs, etc? (I would think that one could draw at least some
of the semantics from the alpha port which is 64-bit native, is it
not? Obviously the MD stuff needs are different.)
No, it's because cross compiling any netbsd snapshot is difficult,
especially from a different OS, and it's much more difficult if
the toolchain is not built as part of the process. If you manage
to build a full cross-compiler toolchain on a NetBSD machine it
tends to be much easier.
