Never mind, found it in pub/NetBSD/NetBSD-1.5/patches/sparc64-compfix.tgz.
Compiling works now. Thanks Matt & Eduardo (and Todd).
- Greg (who thinks it's funny/ironic that "cc hw.c" on an ELF system
produces "a.out" still, after all these years, even though
it's no longer using a.out format (-: )
