I moved from 1.4.1 to 1.5 on a SS10 a few weeks ago.
I did it because all the NetBSD packages that I wanted were for 1.5.
The install was OK, and the result was only momentarily painful - I had
to reinstall "vim" and "zsh". They quit working for some reason. Other
than that, I've had no trouble after moving to 1.5.
My SS10 feels a little faster now. Maybe the UVM stuff makes it marginally
faster? ELF executables must be a bit fatter, because I don't have much
disk space free. I can now use all the NetBSD packages for 1.5.
